I have used the "BULK ADD" operation as described on pg. 88
of the Site Managers Manual for v1.d.   But I want to be able to
generalize a little from this specific "job" to "jobs" per se.

I could not find general explanations of  LISTSERV "Job"
construction.  If it is there, could someone please point me?
In the meantime, what is the syntax for constructing ListServ
"Jobs"?

And specifically,  what is the meaning of:
         "DD=ddname" ;
         "// ddname DD *  {i.e. "//",  "ddname", "DD", and "*"},  and
         "/*"  {on the last line}
