As [log in to unmask], I received an irate message from someone on AOL
who felt that someone here was trying to "mail bomb" his account. He
said he had 60 messages from us, and forwarded one of them to me. It
was from LISTSERV, and it was a welcome message to one of our mailing
lists.

I searched through our system mail logs and couldn't find anything from
him to [log in to unmask] that would indicate he subscribed, let alone
60 times. I'm not real sure what avenue to pursue, but poking through
listserv.log, I did find the following which includes his email address:

listserv.log.OLD:28 Jun 1995 15:47:22 From [log in to unmask]: X-ADMMAIL intercat-request [log in to unmask]

What does this mean? Could this be related to the welcome messages he
received? It's the intercat list, so it would seem possible to me....

Thanks.
