After a few tests I discovered that the only way I can do it is to forward
the message to the list after I make the changes. This defeats the purpose,
which is to have the message come from the list and not from me posting to
the list.

I overcame this problem by sending the message to a BLATT program using a
little PERL scripting, which sends it to me to confirm, and then sends the
message out as if it is coming from The New England Journal of Medicine,
which is what I want it to say.
