Listserv DISTRIBUTE

A friend of mine tried DISTRIBUTEing an EXEC through Listserv which
failed with RC=1.  The problem was that the EXEC has been ROPTed, and
it seems that Listserv doesn't like long lines.
 
Is this a feature?
