FILELISTs that I've seen do this have a separate file for announcing
new files e.g., listname ANNOUNCE or listname INDEX or listname ARCHIVE.
Folks AFD to that file (or perhaps FUI).
Also, if file names are well-structured, wild-card notation can be
used in the filelist itself (entries start with a ">" and fn/ft have
an "*" where the generic part is). Then users can AFD to the
full wild-card specification on some subset.
