The name you put in the list header, as in:
 
* Owner= JOE@NODE (John A. Doe)
 
is a comment for the human  reader. It has strictly no syntactical value,
and does not cause anything to be entered in the SIGNUP file. The name of
the owner  was extracted from  the SIGNUP file,  which itself was  set to
contain the same name  that was entered into the list.  A new SUB command
from the list owner will correct it.
