Yes, it is  possible. The PUT command was properly  recognized since this
message is only generated during the  execution of a PUT command. Did you
do a plain  GET, or GET (HEADER?  I strongly recommend the  latter if you
are only going to  update the header. It avoids all  sorts of problems if
your mail system cannot handle long lines.
