Hello folks;
I am involved in testing VM/ESA here. We plan to put it on production in 2
weeks on this system as a replacement for VM/XA.
We are currently running Revised Listserv 1.7f. I have not made any changes
to it except for customizing the local sysvars file. I have also put in the
paperwork to activate a CREN license for the latest L-Soft products, but its
still winding its way through the beaurocracy here.
In any event, I want to test Listserv 1.7f on our test system, which is known
on BITnet as VMERSCS in parallel with our production Listserv which is on
TEMPLEVM. We have Lmail on both systems.
I want to create a few test lists and do other testing and I will certainly
not use any lists which we run on our production system. What I would like
to know is the best way to set up this test Listserver. Any pointers would
very much be appreciated. I could just transfer all the files from our
production system to our test system, but without the lists' files, but I
suspect there's more to it than that so that other Listservers know our test
system is alive. This test will probably go on for about a week or two.
