You are optimistic as always :-) STILL, if I were a CREN site looking for
NJE connectivity past  Dec 1996, I would put some  $500-1000 in my budget
for this.  If it doesn't have  to be spent,  great, but if push  comes to
shove the funds will be available. This  isn't much money and I would NOT
take the risk of  relying on a possible sponsor that has  yet to make any
kind of commitment.

Yes, but this is a totally  different situation. You're not *employed* by
Terena,  Terena is  buying a  fraction of  your time  from your  employer
through a contractual service agreement that  runs from date 1 to date 2.
The worst they can  legally do is decide not to  renew this agreement. If
this happens, it  is a relatively simple matter to  arrange for the money
to come from another source starting  from date 2. This is very different
from having to worry about still having a job next week...
