I took a look at the list (HEDIR@SIUCVMB).
 
   Besides that it has almost  no security (send=public, review=public -
but  getting the  logs is  private!),  I sort  of get  the feeling  that
"manually" might mean storing back the  list, not using the ADD command.
If so, this could be the source of the problem.
