I was thinking  about some method to speed up  fileserver commands. I remember
Eric mentioned making a cache with the  last used files as a possibility; this
may  probably help,  but why  not consider  also maintaining  in GLOBALVs  the
FILELIST tree structure? The tree would not  use much storage and it's easy to
maintain. And  performance gains could be  so important that people  would get
used to specify the filelist part on GETs and PUTs.
