Marco,
What you're going to need to do .. after you've listed yourself as a postmaster, you need to restart the application which then reads your changes into memory. Try issuing the "go" command ... or ./go ... whatever the case may be. On NT, I think you'll just say "go"!
Anyway .... as the previous people said, never manually edit your lists.
Use the get/put commands as well as your web interface ... if installed. If that is available to you, you should be able to view it or find its link by issuing the "help" command. Towards the bottom of the reply email, you should find the link listed there.
oh, also ... when you set the postmaster up, there should be a line with your password or 'PW= ' entry ... make sure you've set up your password there. There usually are not too many places you will need it (definitely when you issue the PUT command" but you will also need it for the web interface. Good luck.

Sincerely,
Chris Barbot

... remember, if you have or hear of any reporting mechanisms or tools, please get back in touch. I dying for a little more detail on my server here! :-)

No, text editors are for editing text files, hence their name.
You wouldn't use one to edit a .DLL or other similar file just
because you can read some of the file. The .LIST files are
are not text files even though you can read parts of them.
This has been true of the Windows versions since day 1.

Are you sure you're listed as the postmaster? Try sending a RELEASE
command and look at the output. If you aren't listed, you aren't
the postmaster.

Sounds like you're not the postmaster. I add and delete people more
than I would like, simply as postmaster.
