You can omit any template by including it in the .mailtpl file for your
list, and replacing the text with ".QQ"

The stock subscribe message is defined by the SIGNUP1 template, so all
you need to do is to change this in the .mailtpl file for your list to:

>>> SIGNUP1
.QQ
