I need ".IK for Dummies" which gives me a step by step instructions. I
don't understand how the XYZ123 KEYWORD file is created and where it
resides.

Is it a .txt or a .list file in the listserv\main Directory?

Can I create it on the server or do I use the web interface - or
neither?

The documentation doesn't make any sense to me and I'm getting
frustrated with Support because (although they are trying) the answers
are not "idiot-proof" (me being the idiot).

Sorry!

Any manual editing of the *.list files is just about guaranteed to
destroy
that *.list file. This is officially discouraged by L-soft for very
good
reasons. Edit one header at a time is the only way.

However, also long as you have to go through that pain, you should give
serious thought to Pete's suggestion to use the .IK keywords file insert
for
various fixed header parameters per the requirements of your site to
make
future changes much less painful.
