Seems to me it is the posters job to get rid of addresses in the body.  Should listserv mask the address in Stephen's signature?  I just read recently (can't remember where) that we should all be more vigilant in cleaning addresses out of any email we forward.  I agree.  Leaving reams of extra headers in the mail we forward wastes bandwidth and exposes our friends addresses to the world.
