I am a novice "lurking" on this list.  We installed LISTSERV 1.8d last
winter and are about to install 1.8e in a week or so.  However, I have
never heard of a "level set" during this brief time or noticed it in the
documentation.

What is a "level set"?  Should I postpone the planned upgrade to 1.8e (VMS)
until January?  Will I get a notice stating whether I will be affected
(release notes?)?

Maybe a dumb question, but I would like to know.
