This is a question for Eric, but I am sending it to the list, as I am
sure there are more people interested in the reply.
If a list is peered across two 1.6e servers running on hosts that are on
the internet, can they be connected across the internet?  For example if
we have AVM and BVM whose domain names are AVM.A.EDU and VM.B.EDU can
the be peered as follows
A
----
Peers=BVM
 
[log in to unmask]    peer distribution
 
and for B
Peers=AVM
and having an entry of
[log in to unmask] peer distribution
