With the  exception of  Turkey and Israel,  it is now  safe to  apply the
VERS9011 update. If in doubt, browse  the VERS9011 NODUPD file and locate
the record starting with 'REP BITNIC'. If it contains a reference to node
LINKS011, the file is bad and should not be installed. Otherwise there is
no problem.

after all this hazzle from tonight, i'm (still a bit sleepy) back to my
office and will now distribute VERS9011 NODUPD.
 
still 2 NETSERVs (TREARN & TAUNIVM) haven't received the corrupted
file, so i think there 'can' be a  problem.
 
2 other NETSERV's did got the file during the night (UKACRL & IRLEARN),
it's erased in the meantime.
 
as soon as the distribution has completed, i will run the BITEARN NODES
update process (thus generating routing tabels), expect them after next
midnight (your local time).
