Somebody forwarded a letter which said:

but anyone thinking of forwarding it any further should first
take a look at

which states that "The American Cancer Society is greatly disturbed by
reports of a fraudulent chain letter..." and also that "No fundraising
efforts are being made by the American Cancer Society using chain letters
of any kind".
