It would be just as easy to recognize 'HELO' on the first line, eh? :-)
 
I'm sure you were hopeing I had forgotten this, but since the patch
has gone out to fix the BSMTP bug in the Crosswell MAILER, why not
have LISTSERV send mail to MAILER in BSMTP form?  You can send the
complete list of users in one file, just set the To: field to be
equal to the list name.  Then let MAILER worry about the distribution.
 
With BSMTP, no one will have to see more than one To: field per list.
