Possibly ho-hum, but maybe interesting to some of you. I've been
polishing a macro, DG XEDIT, that simplifies reading through LISTSERV
digests. It does NOT explode the digest into individual mail pieces,
but rather allows the reader to chase one topical thread at a time to
its end. It works like this:
When you encounter a digest, type DG. This brings the list of today's
topics into view and sets up PF1-PF3 as follows:

Set the cursor on a topic of interest and press PF2 to go to the first
posting on that topic. Thereafter, continue with PF2 to access the
remaining postings on that topic.

If you get bored with that topic, press PF1 to return to the topic list.

To reset PF1-PF3 to their standard settings, press PF3.

The macro depends on the current structure of Revised LISTSERV digests
and will probably break if this structure is changed too much. It also,
of course, assumes the MailBook MUA (aka RiceMail).

GET DG XEDIT from LISTSERV@ALBANY or [log in to unmask] .
