I didn't receive any replies to my gopher/Listserv questions that I
sent to the vmgopher list. Is anyone on this list using gopher with
Listserv?

Subject: How Do You Set Up Gopher To Use Listserv Files?
To: vmgopher@pucc

I just installed gopher on my system. It works beautifully except that
it is inconvenient to set up the FILELISTs to point to Listserv files.
Since two different LISTSERV lists can have files with the same name
(and CMS can't do that), Listserv renames the files to "00000001 listname",
etc. and then keeps a table so it knows which file to retrieve. In order
to set up the FILELISTs correctly, someone must look at the "listname
FILEID" file and find the real name of the file to put in the FILELIST
for gopher.

Is anyone else using gopher to point to Listserv files?

What process do you go through to construct gopher FILELIST files?

Do you have a way to automate the building of a gopher FILELIST when
you add a new file to a Listserv list? Or, will we have to continue
doing it manually?
