I wrote my own mailinglist software (in 2 weeks)  as I wanted to "link a
USENET newsgroup"  to a mailing-list. It works fine. Mind you, until I wrote
it, there was no mailing-list software for this platform. :-)
And I'm connected via a UUCP-node too.

I don't support this. I always refer people to use the default mail2news
gateways. I think that is better too.
