I run my lists with Sizelim= 100  which rejects nearly all encoded posts
so they never go out to the list in the first place.  Some Owners may not
be able to do this if their lists typically have very long posts.

If posting large, encoded files is normal traffic on a list, maybe they
should not have archives.  I am not opposed to editing logs for
operational or technical reasons (such as to remove encoded files).  I
don't want to get into editing archives just because people don't like the
way they said something last year.
