In article <[log in to unmask]>, [log in to unmask] (Jim Marco) says:

Jim:

My standard reply, which many folks don't like to hear, is to
use the power of LISTSERV database search against the lstown-l
notebook archives looking for _discussion_ of same.

Here is but one example script that you would send to:
[log in to unmask] replacing topic= with some
list definition keyword (make sure you use the equal sign
in order to distinguish a substring from a keyword):

/* --------------------- clip and save ---------------- */
//ListSrch JOB Echo=no
Database Search DD=Rules OUTLIM=3000 f=mail
//Rules DD *
S keyword= IN LSTOWN-L SINCE yy/mm/dd
index #.5 date.8 sender.30 subject.33
/*
//  EOJ
/* --------------------- clip and save ---------------- */
