I am going to interpret the lack of response to mean that no one has
attempted to use external style sheets with LISTSERV 1.8e, or that no
one
is willing to admit it.

My CSS-literate list owner seems intrigued by the challenge, and I
have given him access to my test system. If there is any interest in
this topic, I can keep the list updated on progress and problems.
