If anyone at GIT is using Novell Netware v3.x or higher, a temporary
fix might be to get Mercury v1.21.  This is a set of NLMs which run
on your Novell fileserver allows you to create lists.  It doesn't
have all the bells that Eric's software does but it is free.  Mercury
is available from risc.ua.edu as /pub/network/pegasus/merc121.zip.

Mercury v1.21 offers a number of powerful new features, especially in
the area of mailing list management. The most important bug fix
addresses a problem which could cause server crashes in messages with
pathologically long lines; Mercury 1.13 claimed to fix this problem,
but in fact I overlooked one place where it could still happen. v1.21
has been tested with messages containing lines 20,000 characters long
without incident. A number of other smaller bugs have also been fixed
and TCP/IP error handling has been markedly improved.
 
New features:
 
* Support for mailing list archives

* Support for digest mode subscriptions in mailing lists. Digests
  can be sent out either on a time or a size basis, and the user
  can set and unset digest mode using the new Mail Server SET command.
  Digests are generated in MIME digest format.

* Support for anonymous mailing lists, in which all the characteristics
  of a message which could identify the sender are removed (except
  message signatures - that one's up to you!).

* Support for new mailbox tree relocation (ie, you can now specify that

* Support for ESMTP "SIZE" declarations on outgoing mail.
* Support for the non-standard XTND XMIT extension to POP3 in the
  MercuryP POP3 server. XTND XMIT allows mail to be sent via a POP3
  connection and is used by some mailers.
* Support for a non-standard POP3 command, "XTND XLST", used by the
  Eudora package.
* Support for the new UIDL POP3 command defined in RFC1725. UIDL is
  useful for mailers such as WinPMail 2.0 which can leave mail on
  the server, since it speeds the process of determining what mail
  has already been read.
