--- Multiple TOPICS in SUBJECT / Eugenio Gatto. - Torino, 1998-03-09
"LISTSERV ... takes anything to the left of a colon as a list of topics,
separated by commas". So says the manual, and the syntax is
FIRST, SECOND: Anything else
if my topics are FIRST and SECOND. But LISTSERV has many more subtleties
than even a huge manual could cover; is perhaps this other syntax valid
(i.e. are both topics equally recognized) ?
FIRST: SECOND: Anything else
(I hope the question is not considered SO silly: I am thinking of a way
of searching archives with a "WHERE SUBJECT CONTAINS xxx:" clause, to
the purpose of limiting, with reasonable approximation, to a specific
topic; of course "WHERE SUBJECT CONTAINS (xxx: OR xxx,)" should work,
anyway).
Thanks in advance. I miei saluti.
