I'm guessing that when you upgraded you also moved to a new machine, copying all
files.  This is part of the problem.  The message archive indexes
~/listanme/listname.DBindex and other ~/listname.DB* files should never be
moved.  Let LISTSERV regenerate them on the new box.  Similarly, the web archive
index files ~/listname/listname.INDyymmx should never be moved.  Again, let
LISTSERV regenerate them on the new box.  At this point I would delete both sets
of files, and stop/restart LISTSERV.  Then see if the link now works.

Linking to specific messages in the archives will always be problematic.  If the
archives are edited or moved to a new machine, the links may no longer work.
Indexes to the current archive period (week or month) are rebuilt every time new
post is made to the list.  Older archives are not rebuilt at all unless you do a
move.
