Have you determined that "the submitter confirmation is never sent out" based on not receiving it, or have you inspected the LISTSERV log and confirmed the absence of an entry describing trying to send it?  Have you inspected the LISTSERV log and the SMTP server log to see what errors might be reported?  Can you send another message that you expect a confirmation for, then once it appears in the moderation list, show us everything in the LISTSERV log from one minute prior to your sending until you find the item awaiting moderation?

Given that you now confess to having changed something, the "Suddenly" beginning of your original message is suspicious.  I think probably something is not working as you expected it to, and a closer examination of details should reveal the trouble.

I am subscribed to the SampleList mailing list as [log in to unmask] 

The only thing that was changed was the setting for SMTP_Forwarding and SMTP_Forwarding_N.  Both were set to our SMTP server.  This setting worked on our Test Listserv server which was a VMWare copy of our production Listserv server.  Our Test Listserv server sends out the confirmations without any problems.

I'm still poking away at this problem but any insights would be helpful and welcomed.

Hello,

Suddenly, any mailing list on our Listserv system that requires confirmation from the submitter has stopped sending the confirmation to the submitter.  The messages are ending up in the Moderation List.

Once the message in the Moderation List is approved, the message is delivered to the mailing list with out any problems but the submitter confirmation is never sent out.

Has anyone ever experienced this problem or have an idea what is causing it?
