The deal is that the LISTSERV's can trust each other, as I said, and that
LISTSERV@PUCC didn't receive  the command from you, with  the password to
validate it.  Since the  list in question  has "Validate=  All commands",
your  request is  handled as  a "weak  delete" (equivalent  to a  SIGNOFF
request  from the  user),  rather than  a DELETE  command  from the  list
owner).
