(This is posted to both LSTSRV-L and LSTSRV-M. Excuse the cross-posting
should you get it twice.)

VM sites running Revised LISTSERV which are both NJE and Internet hosts
may wish to make LISTSERV list archives and/or files accessible through
the use of both LISTSERV GET and FTP GET commands. I've put together
a note that attempts to get together all the pieces necessary to make
this possible. The same general procedure can be applied to just a
FILELIST or to set up a new distribution list or filelist. (Note
that anonymous FTP access is not appropriate for private lists.)

The note assumes that the reader has the knowledge to set up an
"ordinary" distribution list or filelist. Be warned that the steps
described in some sense fall into the category of "Messing Around"
with LISTSERV's internal file structure so proceed very carefully.
Be sure you understand the import and effect of every step before
doing anything at all. If you get into trouble, there's not much I
can do to help.

To get the note, send the command GET LSV-FTP GUIDE to LISTSERV@ALBANY
or to [log in to unmask] . Comments and suggestions for improvements
(in either the procedure or the description) are welcome.
