Sure would like to solve this one.  Seems to happen almost every midnight when digests go out.  Running Listserv 1.8d with HPO option.  The list involved has huge notebooks containing pdf files.  I suspect problem is somehow related to this.  I'll try to educate the writers to use urls rather than including the whole darn file on the mail.

A "core" file was produced.  Any need to look at it?  It's huge - 300M.  Here's a bit of the log file when the crash occurred.  The real pain is the server stays down until our 5:30 reboot.  But then some stray processes are left over from the crashed version and the web interface doesn't work.  So I have to kill all the processes and start clean. Big pain!

There are about 800 files in the FIO cache.  Perhaps not relevant.
