Handling of rejected mail

Sorry about posting a probably trivial question, but I don't know how
to handle these yet.
 
If LISTSERV, for some reason, rejects mail to a list, it will then
send that mail to the RDR of the postmaster along with some sort of
error mail.  After correcting the problem, how does one send the
rejected mail back to LISTSERV so that it will process it correctly?
