Nope. Once you hit send, it's *GONE*. You can't meaningfully retract it.
By the time you finish a Homer Simpson-esque 'Doh!', that mail quite probably
has hit the Listserv, been processed, and in recipient's mailboxes already.
Seriously - 'sf90m' reports that yesterday, we had some 140K
delivieries outbound, with 80% of them being delivered in under 2
minutes. 60% are out the door in under 10 seconds. This would be even
lower, except for some local bogosity with the MAXBSMTP setting being
incredibly high....
Moral: Use a mail program that provides a "Confirm Send" pop-up. ;)
> Is there any way to delete this posting from the archives?
Well.. you have to plead with the Listserv administrator to invoke a
text editor on the file... Locally, we usually try to avoid it unless
it's something such as a *very large* unintended base-64 attachment that
will cause problems with anybody retrieving the logfiles.
