I normally ask Bill Gruber my questions about listserv, but as he's
not on a vax, I need other help.

I moderate a list on a vax using listserv 1.8a, and when the messages
go out to folks they get a page of header text announcing that the
message is "from me" before they get the forwarded message. I would
like to alter the message header so that it inserts the original
poster's name rather than mine, but I don't know how. People
don't want to know the message is "from me"--that's useless
information, and for my part I can't use the statrpt for my list.

My system administrator (Terry Kennedy) says I'm not using listserv
correctly (we came to virtual blows), and that the documentation
should tell me the right way to do this. But I can't find anything.

UIC, the node that runs the list, removed the pre-text passage from
my the beginning of forwarded messages, way back at the outset of
my list. Is that the reason my name appears on all the posts?

I'm grateful for any help.

Jeff
