I subscribe to a list (*not* a BITNET LISTSERV list,
unfortunately) that has been plagued lately by a rash of "receipt
confirmation" messages.  I don't see such messages on other
lists.  Does LISTSERV recognize and intercept messages like this,
as I assume it does?  (I have searched the LSTSRV-L archives, but
found nothing.)
