You can
query * for [log in to unmask]
to get information about any address that is subscribed to any of your
lists. Wildcards are supported in the address, too. It seems to me
that "owners" are not "registered" simply by being an owner, but only if
they are also a subscriber to at least one list; it may be that if they
recently joined another list, perhaps their signup entry was affected
during that transaction. They could visit the web interface join/leave
option page for a list they subscribe to, and update their name there -
or the list owner, or site postmaster, could use the same page for the
same purpose, but I am not certain this has exactly the same effects as
the REGister command previously mentioned.

A help desk ticket was referred to me this afternoon involving
Listserv. The problem is that Listserv has associated an incorrect name
for a particular list owner's email address. I assume I need to ask the
user to re-register his email address on Listserv. Right?

What I would like to know is if there is any way I can issue a command
to scan Listserv's sign up files for a given address to see what
information has been recorded for a given email address.

For example, I can use the scan command to query a specific list for a
given address or portion of an address. Is there a similar utility for
signup files on Listserv?

Also, as a value added service, it would be nice if I could re-register
this subscriber's email address for him, rather than asking him to do
so. Is that type of thing possible?

Yes, I am the Listserv postmaster.

Thanks,

Stan
