Currently, we run Listserv 14.5 on Solaris 9 UNIX platform.
In the go.user file, we implemented:
SORT_RECIPIENTS=1
Export SORT_RECIPIENTS

MAXBSMTP=50
Export MAXBSMTP

Apparently, when Listserv sorted the email distribution for a particular
internal listserv list, we have been experienced significant email delay
due to multiple domain accounts were sorted in the same q* file that
sendmail processed.
For example:
Subscribers mail's accounts in our domain "mail.nih.gov" are sorted
among with other "mail.ocvts.org", "mail.ru",
"mail.sctboces.org","mail.sdsu.edu",...and so on.
When sendmail process could not contact the mailserver of the first
listed rRFC822 address, it just deferred that mail piece of
distribution.

We greatly appreciate any information that you could provide to help us
resolve this issue.
