It happened again when someone tried to send dual attachments
recently (WordPerfect files, I believe), which were not that large -- and
the total archive size was just over 800K. Perhaps not coincidentally, the
affected archive file was ALSO a yearly log as in the previous case. In
each case there was only one log file present (this year's).

Last time I was able to solve the problem by manually editing the attachment
gobbledy-gook out of the archive file. I am under the impression that
something is causing the archive file to be corrupted after a certain point,
because even after I edited the archives in this case and deleted the
offending mail from the spool directory, the list keeps getting held when
new, un-offensive mail comes in.

Though there may not be a solution, I'm wondering if this has happened to
anyone else. And can someone remind me whether one can allow attachments to
be mailed but PREVENT them from being stored in the archives? It may be
that 2000a solves all these problems.

Thanks,
Kathy M.
