For those who don't know Marty Hoag, he manages the NEW-LIST list
on vm1.nodak.edu (NDSUVM1), manages various list-related db on that
LISTSERV and provides files related to creating/searching lists-of-lists
(do an INDEX NEW-LIST).  In particular, get LISTSOF LISTS from
that filelist.
 
I do believe Marty has mastered the technique of subscribing to non-
LISTSERV lists ;-) and I think his comment on this subject: was
implicitly "objecting" to the non-announcement of the particular list
in the NEW-LIST and/or other vehicles for dissemination.
