Many BITNET sites have a local NJE network, where the nodeids can be as
original as '4381' and 'VAX1'. When they join BITNET, they are assigned a
BITNET nodeid and may or may not retain an alternate RSCS with their old
local name, in order to avoid breaking things in their local network. A
BITNET node can thus have two names, one of which is purely local, and if
you set up LISTSERV the wrong way it will talk from the "local" nodeid,
which cannot be replied to. There is nothing to do about it, just wait
until they find out about their mistake and correct it.
