My name is Miriam Pace.  I am a published writer with five novels and
one textbook along with numerous non-fiction articles and short
stories.  I teach fiction techniques at the University of California,
Riverside Extension University Creative Writing Program.
 
Currently,  I am president of the Mystery/Suspense Chapter RWA, a
group of writers interested in writing in the mystery suspense
genre. The mailing list will be for members to critique chapters of
manuscripts in progress, brainstorm, and exchange industry
information as needed.  The maximum number of members would be around
50, since not everyone has email, with probably around 15-20 messages
per day.
 
This list will be a closed list, limited to those people who belong
to the chapter.  The group has 76 active members of which 23 are
multi-published.
 
I have already asked my internet provider to act as host, but they
have not yet installed the software needed to support mailing lists, so
I respectfully request that someone here will consider acting as
host for us.
 
I am aware of the Doroty-L mailing list.  But this is more for the
discussion of mysteries in general and not for the creation of them.
