Hello! I have a need to create two lists, but I don't have my
own server (yet), and I can't get my ISP to set them up for me.
 
One is a newsletter aimed at portable computer users,
which I would like people to be able to subscribe/unsubscribe
to/from automatically, but I want to be the only one who can
send out an announcement (the monthly newsletter).  We have
3200 names now, and the 4 to 5 page newsletter goes out once
a month.  Is a listserv the right option, considering I don't
have my own server?
 
The other list is be a private list for a select group of
vendors for IBM.  Therefore, I would have to be able to approve
who gets on the list.  There are perhaps 40 to 50 subscribers
to this list.  It is a traditional, two-way list, not a
newsletter.
