No, :nick. is a tag (label) that tells LISTSERV "here is the nickname",
just as the :alias. tag tells LISTSERV "here is the alias that belongs to
the nickname".  For the nickname PERI.COM you define aliases such as
HOST1.PERI.COM and HOST2.PERI.COM by using the syntax as shown.

This is the exact same :tag.data format used by LISTSERV in (for instance)
the BITEARN NODES and intpeers.names files.
