Just caught some

sending subscribe requests for more than 1000 lists in alphbetical order to
my  LISTSERV. Quite  a lot  got forwarded  and meanwhile  I've served  this
address off.
 
Funny enough this person must have goofed with the SMTP wrapper because the
RFC822 To:  was only  in one  of 4 cases  my LISTSERV,  one is  a compuserv
address and one directed to [log in to unmask]
 
Dunno what's all this is about ... but be warned.
