This is almost certainly caused by failure to update the wa.exe cgi script in
the .../scripts directory under the webserver.  This is a necessary manual step
in the 1.8e upgrade since LISTSERV cannot always predict where this file is
stored on your server.  Copy wa.exe from x:\LISTSERV\MAIN to c:\inetpub\scripts
(or whatever is correct for your server).

If you want to test for certain try this:

  http://your_server_name/your_scripts_dir/wa.exe?DEBUG-SHOW-VERSION

(upper case is required there)

If you get

 WA version 2.2b
 Compiled on Jul 16 2000 16:22:37

you have the old 1.8d wa.exe.

If you get

 WA version 2.3.19
 Compiled on May 27 2002 01:03:42

(or later) you have the correct 1.8e wa.exe.
