I found the below as an example from my "archives" with this forum, as I have had questions about attachments before. It has worked for me.

With spam and viruses distributed via email, it would seem to me that getting 65+ k folks to click on attachments is counter productive; so is storing 65+ k copies on customers' servers and/or local storage.

Distributing a URL of an official web site would seem useful, especially if the attachment gets updated or revised.

I can not recall the last time I had an attachment distributed via a LISTSERV(R) list, and have explicited discarded them on lists that I co-operate[d].

When the need arose for a file to be distributed, instead we stored it on a server and referenced the URL.

Subject: Exchange 2010 Contacts

We have our contacts setup in Exchange 2010 for most of our lists. This makes it easy for our campus to go to the GAL and pick their list to send to. This works fine except for attachments. A list will send attachments fine until we add that contact. After we create the contact for that list, the attachments are stripped.

Does anyone have any idea why this would be? The attachment settings are set to "ALL"
