Reboot  your server.  The  problem is  that (I  guess)  your server  gets
BITEARN NODES  from a  R/O link  to some  public disk  where the  file is
maintained. If you change the file  "by surprise", it will read the wrong
lines (it keeps an in-storage index  for performance reasons) or get junk
data from CMS, or whatever.
