A listowner has a special purpose list that got held because it's
daily threshold was triggered, but he didn't notice the error message.
Since then, several hundred messages (jobs) piled up in listserv's
spool directory. He now wants to free the list, but doesn't want
all those messages to go out, he'd just like to delete them instead
(besides, they'd just exceed the threshold again).

Is there a way for him to do it? It seems the only way is for the
the LISTSERV administrator to clean out the spool directory.

Also, it seems weird that only one "list held" error message is sent
to the listowner. Shouldn't LISTSERV keep complaining that the list
is still held (maybe once a day)? I'm also surprised that the LISTSERV
administrators don't get some mail after awhile. Do I have to set up
something to monitor the spool directory?
